"In addition to the United States and Britain, al-Zawahri singled out Australia, France, Poland, Norway, South Korea and Japan, saying they had all participated in occupying Afghanistan, Iraq or Chechnya and gave Israel the means of survival."
So, this is the other Axis of Evil, I take it. It's about as convincing. Poor old Norway and South Korea. Just as this reflects America's list, I'd also suggest that Bush may have found his intellectual equal in al-Zawahri. These two men deserve each other. If al-Zawahri wants to take the conflict onto East Asian turf, I say "Bring it on!" If whitey's time here is done, I'd love the chance to march into war under the banner of the Central Efflorescence. Revere the Emperor! Expel the Barbarians!
"The youth must not wait for anyone and must begin resisting from now and learn a lesson from Iraq and Afghanistan and Chechnya."
I'm not sure what lesson any insightful young Muslim should draw from these particular examples aside from the certainty that armed forces will come along and grind you and your family into the earth if you get even slightly argy-bargy about things. The lesson the youth should learn is not to listen to beardy old folks. FACT!
But, Netscape/CNN slanting of the story aside, the one item I wasn't aware of in the "news" is that al-Zawahri is a surgeon. Say no more! Everything I need to know is contained in that one word. Good to see he's keeping the flag flying for that particular noble trade.
